Quentin Tarantino’s iconic film series, Kill Bill, is set to expand with a new chapter titled Yuki’s Revenge, which will debut in the popular video game Fortnite on November 30, 2023. This announcement comes amid a resurgence of interest in the series, particularly following the recent theatrical release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which combines the two original films released in 2003 and 2004.

The collaboration between Tarantino and Epic Games marks an innovative approach to storytelling. According to the official Fortnite blog, “Visionary director Quentin Tarantino had a dream of a Kill Bill chapter that never made it to the silver screen, a chapter known as ‘Yuki’s Revenge.’” This new chapter features character models created with the Unreal Engine and stars Uma Thurman, reprising her role as the Bride.

Yuki Yubari, the character introduced in this new storyline, is the sister of Gogo Yubari, portrayed by Chiaki Kuriyama in the original films. The trailer for Yuki’s Revenge hints at a continuation of the series’ signature blend of action and stylized violence, with Yuki exhibiting a similar blend of charm and menace as her sister.

Players can access Yuki’s Revenge starting on November 30 at 14:00 UTC. The experience will be available in the top row of the Discover section, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to the event.

For those who prefer the cinematic experience, selected theaters across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom will screen Yuki’s Revenge as part of a limited theatrical run of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, beginning on December 5. This dual release strategy allows fans to engage with the beloved franchise in multiple formats.

As anticipation builds, many speculate whether Tarantino will announce a third volume of Kill Bill as his final cinematic project. The recent developments suggest a renewed investment in the franchise, positioning it to capture both the gaming and film audiences.

Whether through the immersive world of Fortnite or the big screen, the Kill Bill revival promises to deliver action-packed storytelling that fans have come to love. The question remains: will you join the adventure in Yuki’s Revenge or catch the theatrical re-release of The Whole Bloody Affair?
