Longtime New Braunfels Resident Bob Foegelle Jr. Passes Away
Robert T. “Bob” Foegelle Jr. passed away on November 14, 2025, in New Braunfels, Texas, following an eight-month battle with cancer. He was 80 years old. Bob was born on January 28, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, to Robert T. Foegelle Sr. and Margaret (Thornton) Foegelle.
Throughout his life, Bob demonstrated a strong commitment to his community and family. He attended St. John Berchman’s Catholic School and graduated from LaSalle High School. He furthered his education at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. Bob spent many years working for Barkel Inc. and later retired from Continental in Seguin, Texas.
A Lifelong Community Member
Bob was a dedicated member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and Eucharist minister. His faith played a central role in his life, and he actively contributed to the church community. Beyond his religious commitments, Bob cherished time spent with family, indulged in woodworking, and was an avid college football fan.
Surviving Bob are his loving wife of 56 years, Kathleen (Rinner) Foegelle, his daughter, Monica Haderxhanaj (Marcos) of San Marcos, Texas, and his son, Christopher Foegelle (Jennifer) of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kaleb and Cecelia Haderxhanaj, as well as Clara and Gia Foegelle.

The family expressed gratitude to Hope Hospice for their compassionate care during Bob’s final months. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM on November 15, 2025. Bob will be entombed at Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum, with a gathering scheduled at the church’s Fellowship Hall afterward.
