Study Finds Low Vitamin D Levels Raise Severe Infection Risks

The research indicates that individuals suffering from severe vitamin D deficiency—defined as levels below 15 nmol/L—are 33% more likely to require hospital treatment for conditions such as bronchitis and pneumonia compared to those with adequate vitamin D levels of at least 75 nmol/L.
