Tim Allen, the acclaimed actor and comedian, disclosed in a recent podcast that he was diagnosed with skin cancer after a troubling oversight by his dermatologist. During an episode of the *Club Random* podcast with Bill Maher on January 5, 2024, Allen, aged 72, recounted that the condition was initially “missed five times” during prior examinations.

The conversation began when Allen shared an interaction with a makeup artist from *The Today Show*. “The lady at *The Today Show* noticed it,” he recalled. The actor mentioned that after appearing on shows like *Jimmy Fallon* and *The Today Show*, he was prompted to seek medical advice about a concerning spot on his nose. “Finally, I said, ‘Hey, doc, would you take a look at this thing on my nose?’” he explained, highlighting the moment when the doctor examined him more thoroughly than before.

In a surprising twist, Allen described the doctor’s reaction upon discovering the severity of his condition. “Oh s***. S***, Janice, get Paul in here, and my lawyer,” the doctor reportedly said. Allen recounted how the dermatologist admitted a significant oversight, stating, “I screwed up.” Following this revelation, he was diagnosed with either melanoma or carcinoma, necessitating surgical removal of the affected area.

The gravity of the situation was not lost on Allen, who humorously remarked on the potential consequences for his career. “He goes, ‘I’m going to have to cut most of your nose off,’” Allen noted.
