Beloved Community Member Andrew Klusaritz Passes Away at 73

The community is mourning the loss of Andrew “Andy/Ace” Klusaritz, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Surrounded by his loving family, Andy died at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. His joyful spirit and infectious smile left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Born on April 15, 1952, in Allentown, Andy was the son of the late Edward C. Sr. and Anna (Kovalchick) Klusaritz. He grew up in North Whitehall Township and was lovingly cared for by his siblings for over two decades following the death of their parents. In his later years, he resided at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown, where he continued to be surrounded by family and friends.

Andy was known for leading a fulfilling life despite his intellectual disabilities. He worked at VIA and Weis Markets, and he took great pride in helping on the family farm alongside his father and brothers. A passionate sports fan, he cheered for his beloved Parkland Trojans, Philadelphia Phillies, and Eagles with unwavering enthusiasm.

Memories and Legacy

Beyond sports, Andy enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, such as good food, drinks, and the occasional cigar. He found joy in attending country concerts, farm sales, and watching Lifetime dramas. Family gatherings were especially important to him, where he cherished making memories with his siblings, nephews, and nieces during vacations and celebrations.

His genuine warmth and enthusiasm resonated with everyone who crossed his path, and it is said that everyone has an “Andy” story, reflecting his ability to find happiness in everyday moments.

Andy is survived by his loving siblings: brothers Edward C. Jr. (Doris), Charles (Maureen), Dennis E. (Louise), and sisters Barbara A. Miller (Thomas) and Ann Marie (Ted). He is also survived by his nephews and nieces: Matt, Patrick, Lonny, DJ, Dylan, Melissa, Stacey, and Kimberly.

Funeral Arrangements

A Catholic prayer service will be held on Friday, December 19th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday morning from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, interment will take place at Assumption BVM Cemetery in Northampton.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate healthcare staff at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, particularly those who cared for Andy during his time there. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Andy’s memory to Parkland Athletics or Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Northampton.
