Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem Draws Crowds for Final Weekend
The final weekend of the popular Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem attracted a large number of visitors on December 20, 2025. This German-inspired holiday market, which will conclude on December 21, features a variety of artisan vendors, festive treats, and family-friendly activities.
On Saturday, attendees enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere as they explored stalls filled with handmade crafts and delicious food options. Among the highlights was the *Hot Glass Experience*, where children like seven-year-old Joey Sulovisk crafted their own glass ornaments with guidance from instructors Lorraine Wolf and Heidi Wrobel. This interactive activity allowed families to engage in a creative process, contributing to the festive spirit of the market.
The market also showcased local artistry, including first-time vendor Madison Moreno of Madison’s Ceramics, who replenished her stock of handmade ceramic mugs inside the Handwerk Haus. Visitors expressed excitement over the unique offerings, with Moreno’s colorful designs catching the eye of many shoppers.
Live music further enhanced the festive atmosphere, notably featuring Fritz Scherz of Fritz’s Polka Band, who entertained crowds with lively accordion performances. The sounds of cheerful music filled the air, inviting attendees to dance and enjoy the camaraderie of the season.
An array of holiday decorations was on display, including stunning glass ornaments from Käthe Wohlfahrt, which glimmered beautifully under the market lights. Roy Witten of Sculpted Ice Works captivated onlookers with his skill as he carved intricate ice sculptures, demonstrating the artistry that characterizes the event.
The final weekend of Christkindlmarkt serves not only as a celebration of the holiday season but also as an important platform for local artisans and small businesses. Vendors like Scott Krycia showcased fine art photography, providing a space for local talent to shine and connect with the community.
As the market prepares for its closing day, visitors are encouraged to experience the festive ambiance and support local vendors. This year’s Christkindlmarkt has proven to be a vibrant gathering, blending tradition with creativity, and leaving attendees with lasting memories as they celebrate the holiday season.
