Richie’s Hot Chicken is set to expand its presence in San Antonio with a new location in the Alamo Ranch neighborhood. The Nashville-style chicken restaurant will open its second brick-and-mortar site at 11310 Culebra Road early this year, according to a report from MySA. This follows the success of their initial location, which launched on Huebner Road in 2024.

Owner Jen Zuniga expressed enthusiasm about returning to the Alamo Ranch area, noting its rapid growth and popularity. “We did want to go back to our home base, and of course, Alamo Ranch is a hot spot. So, why wouldn’t we want to go to a place that’s definitely growing?” Zuniga stated in an interview with What Now San Antonio. Having operated a food truck in the Shaenfield area for two years, Zuniga views this new opening as a significant milestone for her team.

The popular eatery, known for its signature dishes like the “Richie Rich Fries,” chicken sandwiches, and burritos, has garnered a loyal following for its halal-certified Nashville-style hot chicken. Zuniga highlighted some of the customer favorites, saying, “Everything is delicious, but I would definitely go with our Richie Rich fries; you can’t go wrong with that.” Additionally, she mentioned their “Rich special” and the Mac and Chick bowl as standout items on the menu.

Richie’s Hot Chicken will join a retail strip mall that houses other businesses, including Phở Việt SA and Coco Nail Salon, creating a vibrant dining and shopping environment. As Zuniga prepares for the grand opening, she acknowledges some delays, stating, “Longer than expected, a little hiccups here and there.”

The new location aims to build on the successful foundation established by the first restaurant, which has become a beloved part of the San Antonio dining scene. With its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Richie’s Hot Chicken is poised to become a staple in Alamo Ranch.
