The popular mobile game Pokémon Go has launched its latest event, titled “Pinch Perfect,” which runs from January 6 to January 11, 2024. This event introduces players to the new clawed Pokémon, Klawf, while also featuring the shiny variant of Dhelmise.

Players can benefit from a significant boost during this event with double experience points (XP) awarded for each Pokémon caught. This development encourages players to explore areas with high Pokémon spawns, activate a Lucky Egg, and maximize their catching potential. Notably, Klawf will not be available in the wild; players must complete Field Research or Timed Research tasks to encounter this Pokémon.

Event Features and Timed Research Tasks

Throughout the duration of the “Pinch Perfect” event, new Timed Research tasks will become available. Each task will provide encounters with Dwebble, Corphish, Clauncher, and Klawf. These tasks will be accessible for two days each, and while the exact nature of the tasks may vary with different rewards, they are expected to follow a similar structure.

For example, the “Pinch Perfect: Dwebble Timed Research” task, which runs from January 6-8, includes the following steps:
– Catch 5 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
– Catch 10 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
– Catch 15 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
– Catch 20 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)
– Catch 25 Pokémon (Dwebble encounter)

Upon completion, players will receive a Klawf encounter, along with 950 XP and 950 Stardust. In addition to standard tasks, a premium research option is available for $1.99, providing players with increased chances to find shiny variants of featured Pokémon.

Field Research Opportunities and Enhanced Spawns

During the “Pinch Perfect” event, players can also engage in Field Research by spinning PokéStops. Tasks may include:
– Catch 5 Pokémon (reward: 10 Poké Balls, 5 Great Balls, or 3 Ultra Balls)
– Catch 10 Pokémon (Corphish, Dwebble, or Clauncher encounter)
– Catch 15 Pokémon (reward: 1,500 Stardust)
– Win a raid (reward: Dhelmise or Klawf encounter)

According to a blog post from Niantic, several Pokémon will spawn more frequently during the event. These include:
Corphish
Dwebble
Tirtouga
Archen
Clauncher

Additionally, players may encounter Pokémon such as Sandshrew, Tentacool, Onix, Rhyhorn, Magikarp, and Trapinch in the wild. There is an increased chance of finding shiny variants of certain Pokémon during the event.

The event will also feature changes to the raid schedule, with the following targets:
– One-star raids: Corphish, Dwebble, Clauncher
– Three-star raids: Dhelmise, Dondozo

These Pokémon also come with an increased chance of being shiny when raided.

As the “Pinch Perfect” event unfolds, players are encouraged to participate actively, take advantage of the enhanced features, and enjoy the new Pokémon experiences Pokémon Go has to offer.
