Kevin Faulk Loses Second Daughter Tanasha at 30, Family Grieves
Former NFL player and three-time Super Bowl champion Kevin Faulk is mourning the loss of his daughter, Tanasha Faulk, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 30. The family has confirmed that her death was due to natural causes, with no indications of foul play. This tragedy marks the second devastating loss for the Faulk family in just over two years.
Tanasha’s obituary reflects on her vibrant spirit and deep love for her family. “Being their mother brought her so much joy, and she was immensely proud watching them grow and learn,” it states. The family will remember her fondness for celebrations, particularly during holidays and family gatherings, where she found joy in cooking and bringing people together.
A Family in Grief
The Faulk family previously faced heartbreak with the passing of Tanasha’s younger sister, Kevione Faulk, who died in September 2021 at the age of 19 from an undisclosed illness. Kevione was a student at Louisiana State University (LSU), where she also worked with the football program, continuing the family’s legacy in collegiate athletics.
Kevin Faulk, a standout player for LSU from 1995 to 1998, was drafted into the NFL in 1999 by the New England Patriots, where he enjoyed a successful career. He won three Super Bowl titles with the team before retiring in 2011. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, serving as the running backs coach for the New York Giants and later returning to LSU as a coach from 2018 to 2021. In recognition of his contributions to the sport, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2022.
As the community rallies around the Faulk family during this challenging time, many are reflecting on Tanasha’s lively personality and her dedication to her loved ones. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate through their grief and remember the cherished moments shared with both daughters.
In the wake of these losses, Kevin and his wife, Latisha Faulk, continue to receive support from friends, former teammates, and the broader community, illustrating the profound impact Tanasha had on those around her.
