Logan Paul Challenges Tom Brady, Claims NFL Players Can’t Compete in WWE
Logan Paul has ramped up the rivalry with Tom Brady, asserting that professional NFL players would struggle to perform in a WWE ring. This claim follows Brady’s recent remarks, where he dismissed Paul’s WWE accomplishments as “cute” compared to the challenges faced by NFL athletes.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Paul directly countered Brady’s comments, questioning the criteria for athletic excellence. He referred to Brady’s performance at the NFL Combine, stating, “Bro, the worst NFL Combine of all time,” while emphasizing Brady’s success as a quarterback. Despite acknowledging Brady’s impressive record of seven Super Bowl victories, Paul posed a challenge: “It doesn’t matter how many Super Bowls you won, how many United States titles have you won? How many subscribers do you have on YouTube? What’s your net worth?”
Paul did not stop there. He expressed confidence that most NFL players would not endure the rigors of WWE wrestling, claiming that the physical demands of pro wrestling surpass those of American football. “If you put any of the WWE Superstars on the roster, including the women, on an NFL team, they would do bare minimum… If you plucked 99% of NFL athletes from the team and put them in a WWE ring, they would not be able to do it,” he asserted. “It is the hardest thing in the world to do.”
This back-and-forth follows Brady’s earlier comments while promoting a flag football event in Saudi Arabia, where he characterized WWE as “cute.” Paul’s initial response came in the form of a social media post, captioned “The NFL is cute,” but his latest remarks elevate the competitive banter to a new level.
The exchange raises questions about the nature of athleticism and competition in different sports. While both Paul and Brady have achieved significant success in their respective fields, their contrasting views on what constitutes elite athletic performance continue to fuel their rivalry.
As this playful yet pointed discourse unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Logan Paul’s assertions about NFL players will resonate with fans or if he has overstepped in his critique of one of football’s all-time greats. The ongoing dialogue between these two sports figures provides an intriguing glimpse into the overlapping worlds of professional wrestling and American football, as well as the public’s appetite for celebrity rivalries.
