The North County Lady Raiders showcased their experience and depth in a commanding 66-49 victory over the Central Lady Rebels on January 18, 2024, in Park Hills. Senior guard Raegan Pierce led the charge, scoring 21 points, including an impressive seven 3-pointers, as North County improved to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

Pierce’s shooting was a key factor in the Lady Raiders’ success, particularly from her preferred spot in the deep left corner. Ava McClure, stepping up as a backup point guard, also made significant contributions, securing a game-high 13 rebounds along with four assists and six points. Her efforts proved crucial as the Lady Raiders navigated a foul-heavy contest.

In the third quarter, North County capitalized on Central’s struggles, forcing nine turnovers and creating a significant lead. This occurred even as starting guard Lydia Hasemeier faced foul trouble, picking up her fourth foul just 45 seconds into the second half. Starters Katelynn Clark and Morgan Populis were sidelined due to concussion protocol following an injury earlier in the week.
