FRESNO GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES OVER $30,000 FOR ANIMALS

UPDATE: The sixth annual Animal Compassion Team Golf Tournament in Fresno County has just concluded, raising an impressive over $30,000 for homeless pets! Held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Belmont Country Club, the event saw more than 100 golfers come together for a cause that impacts the lives of countless dogs and cats.

This year’s tournament not only rallied the community but also strengthened friendships among participants, many of whom have returned year after year. “It’s great to see them, it’s really a friendship type thing we get to see everybody get together again and for the perfect cause,” said Doug Gray, special events coordinator for the Animal Compassion Team.

The funds generated from the tournament will directly support the no-kill shelter’s efforts to provide care for animals awaiting forever homes. Doug Gray emphasized the joy felt by both participants and the approximately 30 volunteers who dedicated their time to make the event a success.
