Michael Anthony Ortega Remembered for His Loving Family Legacy
On February 18, 2026, Michael Anthony Ortega passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his daughters. He was 69 years old and had dedicated his life to his family and community in the Harbor Area.
Born on March 2, 1956, to Trinidad “Trino” Ortega and Dolores “Lola” Ortega, Michael was a lifelong resident of the Harbor Area. His family described him as a devoted father and grandfather, whose impact on their lives will be cherished forever.
A Legacy of Family and Love
Michael is survived by his daughters, Charmaine Morales (married to Armando) and Helani Ortega Godinez (married to Danny), along with his son, Michael Ortega. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of 15 grandchildren, including Valerie, Veronica, Victoria, AJ, and Leah, as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
His grandchildren, who range in age, reflect the vibrancy of his family life. Notable among them are Joseph, Ruby, and Jireh, each carrying forward Michael’s spirit. Family gatherings will carry a profound sense of loss, as his joyful presence will be deeply missed.
Remembering Michael Ortega
Beyond his immediate family, Michael is remembered by his siblings, including Diane, Andie, Tricia, Gabe, and Chris. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, who looked up to him as a father figure. His family shared that Michael was a source of strength and guidance throughout their lives.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy. His passing marks a significant loss for all who knew him. Friends and family will gather to celebrate his life and the many memories they shared.
