URGENT UPDATE: PT Pertamina has just announced significant increases in fuel prices effective March 15, 2026. The adjustments, confirmed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) under Decision Number 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022, will impact motorists across Indonesia, particularly in the Jabodetabek area.

In a move that will resonate with many drivers, the price of Pertamax has surged to Rp 12,300 per liter, up from Rp 11,800. Similarly, Pertamax Turbo will now cost Rp 13,100, a rise from Rp 12,700. Meanwhile, Pertamax Green 95 has increased to Rp 12,900, a jump from Rp 12,450 per liter.

Despite these hikes in nonsubsidized fuel prices, government-subsidized options remain unchanged. Biosolar continues at Rp 6,800, while Pertalite stays at Rp 10,000 per liter. This decision follows ongoing assessments of global oil prices and local market conditions.

Motorists in regions including Jawa, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara Barat will feel the impact immediately as these price adjustments take effect. The changes are expected to influence transportation costs and consumer prices nationwide.

Government officials emphasize that these price adjustments are necessary to align with market realities and ensure the sustainability of fuel supplies. As the cost of living continues to rise, many are likely to feel the strain of these new prices, making it a critical development for everyday Indonesians.

Looking ahead, consumers should prepare for potential further adjustments. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and may implement additional changes depending on future market conditions. Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops.
