Rufus Wainwright, Lucius, and Lord Huron Join L.A. Benefit Concert

The Concert for Altadena is set to feature an expanded lineup, including renowned artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Lucius, and Lord Huron, in a benefit concert aimed at supporting Californians impacted by last year’s devastating wildfires. Scheduled for January 7, 2026, the concert will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and will be hosted by local resident John C. Reilly, whose home was lost during the Eaton Fire.

Organized by the band Dawes, the one-night-only event will also include performances by previously announced artists such as Brandon Flowers of The Killers and Brad Paisley. The lineup further features notable acts including Eric Krasno, Aloe Blacc, Jackson Browne, Judith Hill, Jenny Lewis, Mandy Moore, Stephen Stills, Everclear, and Ozomatli.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Altadena Builds Back Foundation, an organization dedicated to aiding the reconstruction of homes destroyed in the fires. The Eaton Fire, which occurred in 2025, tragically claimed the lives of 19 individuals, forced over 100,000 residents to evacuate, and destroyed nearly 9,500 structures.

As noted in a recent Instagram post by Dawes, “January 7th marks a year to the day that our sweet town got ravaged by the Eaton Fire.” The band acknowledged the emotional weight of the event, stating, “It’s gonna be a heavy night, but it’s going to be a beautiful one too.”

The personal impact of the wildfires has been deeply felt by band members. Shortly after the fires began, Griffin Goldsmith shared on social media that his family had “lost everything,” including their home. His brother, Taylor Goldsmith, also faced significant losses, with his home studio and much of Dawes’ recording equipment destroyed.

During the February 2025 Grammy Awards, Dawes paid tribute to their community with a heartfelt performance of “I Love L.A.” They were joined on stage by renowned artists including Brad Paisley, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Brittany Howard, and St. Vincent, highlighting the collective effort to support those affected by the Eaton Fire.

As the concert approaches, anticipation builds not only for the remarkable lineup but also for the opportunity to contribute to the healing and rebuilding of a community profoundly impacted by tragedy.
