Whataburger Reintroduces Fan Favorites with New Menu Items
Whataburger has announced the much-anticipated return of two fan-favorite menu items, the Monterey Melt and Chicken Fajita Taco, starting on December 30, 2025. This limited-time offering aims to delight customers as they enter the new year.
The Monterey Melt features two beef patties layered with Monterey Jack and American cheeses, grilled onions, and peppers, all topped with Whataburger’s signature Jalapeño Ranch sauce. Meanwhile, the Chicken Fajita Taco combines seared onions and a mix of poblano and red peppers wrapped around chicken breast in a soft flour tortilla.
According to Scott Hudler, Chief Marketing Officer of Whataburger, these items have garnered a dedicated following. “The Monterey Melt and Chicken Fajita Taco have some of the most loyal followers out there,” he stated. “We’re thrilled to kick off the new year by letting fans indulge in their tried-and-true favorites, crafted exactly the way they remember.”
New Additions and Holiday Offers
In addition to the returning classics, Whataburger is introducing the Big Ranch Wrap. This new item includes a crispy chicken strip paired with ranch dressing, tomato slices, lettuce, and American cheese, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The Big Ranch Wrap will be available at participating locations for $3 when ordered as an entrée, with the option to add a side and drink for an additional cost.
For customers looking to enjoy some festive deals during the holiday season, Whataburger Rewards members can take part in the “12 Days of Whatacheer.” This promotion offers various discounts, including free add-ons and buy-one-get-one deals, from December 12 to 23. Hudler described the initiative as Whataburger’s way of celebrating the season with “a bit of holiday magic and special savings just for our Rewards members.”
As Whataburger prepares to ring in the new year, the return of these fan favorites and the introduction of new menu items are set to enhance the dining experience for customers across the country.
