Scientists Uncover Largest Dinosaur Track Site in Bolivia
A groundbreaking discovery has emerged from Bolivia, where scientists have identified the largest dinosaur track site in the world. Located in Carreras Pampa, within the Torotoro National Park, this extraordinary site features more than 16,000 dinosaur tracks dating back approximately 70 million years to the late Cretaceous Period.
These tracks were primarily created by theropods, a group of bipedal, three-toed dinosaurs known for their agility and predatory nature. In addition to theropod tracks, researchers also found fossilized footprints resembling those of ancient birds, suggesting a rich and diverse ecosystem once thrived in this area.
