Final Calusa Blueway Talk Features Kayak Fishing Tips

The last talk in the Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail program series will focus on kayak fishing in Southwest Florida. Scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on March 3, 2024, the event will take place at the Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center located at 16760 Bass Road, Fort Myers.

Mike Hammond, Coordinator for the Calusa Blueway at Lee County Parks & Recreation, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “Paula Stuller was the original owner of the iconic shop and one of the driving forces behind establishing the Calusa Blueway over 20 years ago.” Hammond emphasized the family’s deep-rooted connection to the water, noting that Paula’s three sons, who grew up in the shop, now operate Estero River Outfitters.
