The boys’ high school basketball season came to a close for Carson High School on March 15, 2024, after a decisive loss to Robinson High School in the playoffs. The final score was Robinson 73, Carson 56, marking the third victory for Robinson over Carson in four meetings this season.

Robinson, the second seed in the tournament, showcased their strength throughout the game. With a balanced scoring attack, the team built momentum with strong performances from players like Jaden Speller, who led the game with 19 points. Other notable contributions came from Jamal Miranda and Tyler Harlee, who added 15 points and 14 points, respectively.

Carson struggled to maintain their pace against the robust defense and scoring efficiency of Robinson. Despite a late surge, where Jordan Hall scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, Carson could not close the gap. The final quarter saw them scoring just 26 points, but it was not enough to turn the tide.

The game took place in Concord, North Carolina, and drew considerable local interest. Carson’s final tally came from various players, including Hall with 21 points, Isaiah Perry contributing 13 points, and James Covington with 11 points.

With this victory, Robinson will advance to face East Lincoln High School in the next round of the playoffs, scheduled for March 18, 2024. The team is looking to build on their recent success and continue their journey toward the championship.

The match underscored the competitive nature of high school basketball in the region, with both teams demonstrating skill and determination throughout the season. As the playoffs progress, all eyes will be on Robinson as they aim to secure a spot in the finals.
